Premiere

[edit]

superbowl ad on sunday ended with "Premieres March 1". and yet, article shows the premiere as having occured already -- before sunday! with another one ALSO slated before March 1 (e02 on the 25th). and throw in e03 as well, if you count web-releases.

what gives? how can the ad be THAT far off?! 198.147.225.26 (talk) 06:35, 7 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

The premiere date of any broadcast series is the first date it airs. Pre-releases online don't count as they are NOT AIR DATES and the series is NOT online only. As for the promo that is advertising the time-slot premiere of the series, NOT the date it first aired. 119.224.3.221 (talk) 02:48, 9 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

That would be because the first episode was aired on February 1 and it was branded as a preview, not premiere. It does officially premiere March 1, but there are three episodes available for viewing online as part of the preview package. The ad is not off. It is on all of their literature. My guess is this is being done in the odd way due to the Olympics throwing their thirteen-episode schedule off, and this is the only way they can get things to air without going over their spring sched. i've seen that done before, but in that case, it would RESTART at #1 on said premiere date (mar 1). it is not; it is going straight to eps 3 and 4.
so no matter how u slice it, it is already "underway". just plain ODD they're advertise the date of ep 3 as anything special at this point. 173.13.68.229 (talk) 19:34, 13 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
I mean, by common understanding then absolutely. But this is literally their verbiage, not mine. I think they're just hyping it as 'the premiere' to drum up interest as the show re-airs. Also I just looked and it looks like they're going to air the first two episodes at other times that day, at 8:30 and something else. So I guess it's not totally off. Just very weird. I wouldn't say the ad is 'off' per se because it's advertising the wording they wanted to advertise. It's just not advertising you like is all. (Which is totally fair) Apbioed (talk) 21:13, 14 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
aw geesh, now they've gone and SWAPPED the numbering on the last 2!
so it turns out they "previewed" 1, 2, and 4, and now the big "series premiere" is ep 3...showing right after that rerun of ep 4....
i give up! 198.147.225.22 (talk) 04:27, 2 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
They've changed the timeslot to 8:30 now so that's actually incorrect. They had 1,2, and 3 available via preview and then episode 4 was the big premiere. Then they did a rerun of episode 3 for those who didn't see it earlier. Confusing with timeslot change but nothing was TECHNICALLY swapped... they need to do a better job of explaining that ON tv though since I gleaned all this off the internet. very confusing Apbioed (talk) 06:26, 2 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
chart said otherwise when i typed that, but i see it's been updated. (by you, i presume? too lazy to check)
ok, looks good now. at least with it no longer in 1 2 4 3 5 order.
still unclear what's to become of "parent-teacher" and "student council" -- eps 5 and 6 in prior incarnations of the eplist. bumped to later in season, i presume? 198.147.225.22 (talk) 06:51, 2 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah, I edited it... Trying to keep up with their changes! Your guess is mine here haha. Hoping from here on out it's just easy and not all over the place because man NBC is really making it tough for those of us who want to watch this. Like me (if the username wasn't a dead giveaway)... Fingers crossed lol Apbioed (talk) 06:04, 4 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
