Style

Level of English poor throughout, including lead. To the point I can barely understand it, and don't understand what some parts are trying to say.
Lead about the right length
On structure:
- 'Nominations' is a very vague header and should be written sentence style, i.e. Nominations for PDI chairman (same goes for 'Opening', 'Candidates', 'Announcement')
- 'Reaction' should be its own section, of which 'Formation of CEC' would presumably a subsection
Fail things to work on from a structural perspective - detailed comments on writing would be too long and unnecessary, as it needs completely rewriting

Coverage

Lots of background detail, maybe too much?
On the other hand, there seem to be some acronyms and people mentioned with no introduction - what are these things?
Probably a good amount of detail on the event, though hard to tell
