  • The short name for East Bengal should be included in the lead with parentheses.
  • "its first 100 years" Centennial?
  • Kolkata Derby should be linked in the lead.
  • "Then they were undefeated for the next seven matches." Not the best to start a sentence with "then".
  • "four goals from 17 matches" Four goals in 17 matches?
  • "East Bengal officially announced that Balwant had signed a two-year contract with the team on 12 April 2020." Balwant need a link, and was this the first action for the team's pre-season?
  • "The next day the club signed former fullback Lalramchullova back" No need to mention former when he's still playing as a fullback.
    • Here, former is intended as former player. He played for EB in 2018-19, then went to rival club in 2019-20. Again came back in 2020-21.  Saha ❯❯❯ Stay safe  08:21, 28 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • No need to say upcoming when the article is in past tense, the season's over.
  • "goalkeeper Sankar Roy from Mohun Bagan, defenders Mohammed Irshad from Gokulam Kerala and Keegan Pereira from Jamshedpur and Girik Khosla from Punjab FC." Would replace the last two "and"s with commas.
  • Can't seem to open the reference, or maybe it's just me.
  • "Defenders Anil Chawan from ATK and Vikas Saini" Lowercase d for defenders.
  • "autumn 2019" Capitalize Autumn.
  • "the de facto]" Extra bracket.
  • "before the official exit, i.e. 1 May 2020" Better to say "before the official exit on 1 May 2020."
  • "This was the first time this had happened in Indian Football." Could be merged to say, "the first time the clause was activated in Indian football".
  • "the club and Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, announced at the state secretariat Nabanna, that Kolkata-based firm Shree Cement was the club's new investor." Would sound better without commas.
  • "The club announced former India captain Renedy Singh would be the team's new assistant coach[54] and Liverpool legend Robbie Fowler was signed as the team's new head coach on 9 October." IN most cases the hierarchy has the head coach mentioned first, then the assistant coach.
  • "He would be assisted" He as in Fowler?
  • Background section seems to be missing significant departures.
  • Or loans either, but I can see them interspersed in the ISL overview section.
  • Because of the force majeure clause most of the contracts terminated at once. Also, after being released from club, not enough coverage regarding them. But, added few of them.  Saha ❯❯❯ Stay safe  08:40, 28 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

That should be it. Nova Crystallis (Talk) 07:50, 28 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

  • Reviewed: Template:Did you know nominations/Manjappada
  • Comment: For ALT0, Quess was the previous investor. They had major control over club's football activities. And, they activated the clause. So, what to name: Quess East Bengal or just East Bengal?

General: Article is new enough and long enough
Policy: Article is sourced, neutral, and free of copyright problems
Hook: Hook has been verified by provided inline citation
QPQ: Done.
Overall: Both hooks are approved. I prefer ALT0 because "set-piece coach" doesn't have a wikiarticle and I don't know what that is, so it might be confusing for other Main Page readers. I added "their" to ALT 0 for grammatical reasons. Z1720 (talk) 00:39, 26 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
