Wikipedia is not a news website

[edit]

@Illegitimate Barrister: Wikipedia is not a news website, even if the news is almost half a century old. All the sources for this article date from late January 1971, within a few days, and no lasting impact is demonstrated. The one link [1] that perhaps demonstrates notability has been removed by another user because it looks like User-generated content. However, viewing the "printed version", I notice that the date is wrong and the event the (newspaper?) blog refers to happened a month later in February 1971. Perhaps you wanted the January 1971 blog entry] where this event is mentioned. However, that mention is only a passing summary of the event and gives no indication of any ongoing coverage or deeper analysis of this event, other than repeating the old news that this event happened. - Cameron Dewe (talk) 19:59, 19 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
