[edit]The Italian Communist Party won the European Election in 1984.
The French communists won in Nov.1946 and the Czechoslovak communists won in 1946. Communists won in Russia in 1995 and 1999 and in Ukraine in 1998.

The 1946 election in Czechoslovakia is indisputably considered to have been fair. Zhirinovsky won in 1993 with 23.5% of the vote but in 1995 his support fell to 11% of the vote. The Communists increased from 13 to plurality 22.3% between 1993-95. Ploughman
Sorry, Zh. of course won in 1993, after Yeltsin had dissolved the Supreme Soviet and ordered new elections. I think that now I've phrased the article acceptably.Constanz - Talk 09:44, 27 January 2007 (UTC)
