I found the following info ([1]):

But di Cambio's year of birth is not certain (it may as well have been many decades after the 1230s). Also in the French Wikipedia there is this:

  • 1238 : début des travaux de l'Alhambra à Grenade. Chaque souverain de la dynastie des Nasrides apportera une pierre à l'édifice. Avec la fin de la Reconquista en 1492 cesseront les embellissements du palais.

Which literally means: beginning of the elaboration of Alhambra in Grenada. Each sovereign of the dynasty of the Nasrides brought a stone to the edifice. Along with the end of Reconquista in 1492 they ceased the embelishments of the palace. Of course, this text doesn't make much sense in English, so I will add it when I get the time to "anglify" it.
