Suzie Bitner Was Afraid of the Drain is a 2010 children's poetry collection written by American author and illustrator Barbara Vance, published by Cooperplate Publishing.[1] The collection contains 124 humorous and whimsical poems, and over 100 illustrations.[2][independent source needed][3][unreliable source?] Reviewers compared the book Shel Silverstein's Where the Sidewalk Ends.[4][unreliable source?][5][6][independent source needed]

Suzie Bitner Was Afraid of the Drain is a Moonbeam Children's Book Award-winner,[7][non-primary source needed] a Next Generation Indie Book Award finalist,[8][non-primary source needed] and twice a finalist for the Texas Library Association's Bluebonnet Award.[citation needed]
