Smith Snowden is an American football cornerback for the Utah Utes.
Early life and high school
[edit]Snowden attended Skyridge High School located in Lehi, Utah.[1] During Snowden's senior season, he notched 28 tackles, six interceptions, and four total touchdowns.[2] Coming out of high school, Snowden was rated as a four-star recruit, where he also held offers from schools such as BYU, Northwestern, Penn, Stanford, Utah, and Yale.[3][4] Ultimately, Snowden committed to play college football for the Utah Utes.[5]
College career
[edit]In week 11 of the freshman season in 2023, Snowden got his first defensive reps, playing 37 snaps and recording three tackles in a win over Arizona State.[6] He appeared in 11 games that year, notching seven tackles.[7][8] In week three of the 2024 season, Snowden recorded his first career interception off quarterback Bryson Barnes, as he helped the Utes to a win over Utah State.[9]
