The Saturday Night Live 50th Anniversary Special is a planned three hour television special to commemorate the 50th anniversary season of Saturday Night Live. It is to air on Sunday, February 16, 2025 on NBC and Peacock and will be preceded by a one hour live red carpet special, in similar fashion to the 40th Anniversary Special.[1][2][3]

Preceding specials
[edit]Prior to the main event, NBC has scheduled three additional specials: SNL50: Beyond Saturday Night, a four-part documentary debuting on Peacock on January 16, followed by Ladies & Gentlemen... 50 Years of SNL Music, airing on NBC on January 27, and SNL50: The Homecoming Concert on February 14 live on Peacock.[6][7] Additionally, NBC will rerun the very first episode of the show the day before the anniversary special.[8]
