Patria Private Equity Trust is a British investment trust dedicated to investments in private equity funds and direct investments into private companies with a European focus.[1][2] Established in 2001, the company is listed on the London Stock Exchange and is a constituent of the FTSE 250 Index, an index of the larger companies on the London Stock Exchange.[3]
The chairperson is Christina McComb.[4] It is managed by abrdn.[5] The company changed its name from Standard Life Private Equity Trust to Abrdn Private Equity Opportunities Trust in April 2022.[6] It changed it from Abrdn Private Equity Opportunities Trust to Patria Private Equity Trust in April 2024.[7]
History
[edit]The investment company was launched in 2001 and known as DMWS 480 from March to April 2001. It was then known as Standard Life European Private Equity Trust from 2001 to 2017,[1] as Standard Life Private Equity Trust (SLPE) from 2017 to 2022[1] and as Abrdn Private Equity Opportunities Trust (APEO) from 2022 to 2024.[1][8]
