Nishimura Riki (Japanese: 西村 力/にしむら りき, Hepburn: Nishimura Riki, born 9 December 2005) known mononymously as Ni-Ki (Korean: 니키, Japanese: ニキ),[1] is a Japanese singer based in South Korea. He is a member of the South Korean boy band Enhypen.

Early life

Nishimura Riki began dancing at the age of three dancing to Michael Jackson DVDs. In addition to his parents, he also has an older sister who is a year older and a younger sister who is four years younger.

In 2014, Ni-Ki passed the Kento Mori [ja] commercial audition, and appeared in a commercial for Sony DVD players in the same year.[2][better source needed]

25 July 2015, Ni-Ki and his older sister Konon appered as "Riki Jackson feat. Konon" in the Japanese TV show "FNS 27hour TV"[3][better source needed]

In 2016, Ni-Ki appered in The Weeknd's "Can't Feel My Face" Japanese version music video, he also appered in Tokyo Ska Paradise Orchestra's concert and danced to "Paradise Has No Border". In the same year, Ni-Ki appered in Legend Tokyo Chapter.5 as a dancer to 'Michael Jackson LEGEND Tribute' choreographed by Travis Payne, Michael Jackson's choreographer. He also appered on a Nichii Sharyo commercial as Riki Jackson.[4][5][6]

In 2017, he appeared as a dancer at the "2017 Yumi Katsura Grand Collection". In the same year, he appeared as a child dancer in the SHINee concert "SHINee WORLD 2017〜FIVE〜 Special Edition".

In 11 March, 2017, Nishimura appeared in Yuzu's music video "タッタ".[7][better source needed]

Pre-debut activities and I-Land

In 2019, 13-years-old Nishimura came to South Korea, and became a trainee under Belift. During his trainee time, He was nicknamed Riki B(リキB), because he had the same name as another trainee, Taki (currently a member of &Team).

From 26 June to 18 September 2020, Nishimura under the stage name Ni-Ki, participated in reality competition series produced by Mnet and organized by Belift Lab called "I-Land". Ni-Ki ended in fourth place on the final episode, successfully becoming a member of the boy group Enhypen.[8]

Debut with Enhypen

30 November 2020, Ni-Ki debuted with Enhypen in their extended play (EP) Border: Day One.[9]

From 30 March, 2021 to 29 March, 2022, Ni-Ki served as a host on the radio program "Enhypen's All Night Nippon X [ja]".[10] In the same year, he appeared as a guest on "&Team Gakuen".[11]

On 23 April 2022, Ni-Ki performed on the YouTube channel Studio Choom with his bandmate Jungwon as the first artist to perform in Mix & Max with the song "bleeding darkness". [12]

On 14 May 2023, He appeared with ITZY Ryujin as a special MC at KCON JAPAN 2023.[13][14]

On 10 May 2024, Ni-Ki performed on Studio Choom as "Artist Of The Month (AOTM)" of May with a dance cover of Connor Price & Haviah Mighty 'Trendsetter' and Kendrick Lamar 'HUMBLE'.[15]
