Nagarukhra High School is a government-aided higher secondary co-ed' school situated in Nagarukhra, West Bengal, India.[1] The school now provides classes from V to XII, with Arts, Science, and Commerce streams.

History

This school started in 1953 with fifth and sixth classes. In 1962 the school was upgraded to secondary level and in 2000 to higher secondary level.[2] Though it was a primary school at the time of foundation, now the primary section is running in a separate building beside the main campus, founded in the year of 1970.

The school is affiliated to West Bengal Board of Secondary Education for secondary education and West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education for higher secondary education.

About School

This school is situated beside Habra Road at Mullickpara. There are about 45 classrooms distributed among three-storied building. There are laboratories of Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Geography etc subjects. Students can take part in N C C . Now there are 34 teachers and 5 teaching-staffs in this school. Nagarukhra High School[3] is one of the best and one of the oldest Higher secondary schools of Kalyani subdivision as well as Nadia district. Near about 1370 students read in this school. The yearly magazine Kochi Pata (কচি পাতা) was published in 2013. Every year the handwritten wall-magazine Shikor (শীকর)[4] is being published as well.
