Mods and Rockers is a 1964 short British film from Anglo-Amalgamated. It was directed by Kenneth Hume who later made I've Gotta Horse (1965).

It featured the Western Theatre Ballet Company and based on their ballets 'Mods and Rockers' and 'Non-Stop'. They performed a dance to Beatles compsitions. The songs were performed by The Cheynes who included Mick Fleetwood.

Rehearsals began 13 July 1964 and filming began the following week at Twickenham Film studios.[1] The movie was first released in theatres in December 1964.[2]

Reception

The Guardian said "The dancing is worth watching."[3]

The film was released in Australia on a double bill with Gonks Go Beat. The Age called it "excitingly executed".[4]

US Release

The movie was released in USA cinemas with two othere films, Swinging UK and UK Swings Again and called Go-Go Big Beat.[5]
