[edit]Hopefully this is being watched at the mo (I'll rattle a cage somewhere else in a while otherwise!) - I'm wondering if we might be able to re-word this warning - I don't think the 'tendency to confuse' bit is very strong, if appropriate, I'll drop something in here that maybe someone can update? cheers, Privatemusings (talk) 07:09, 19 March 2009 (UTC)

Please consider adding the following line after "If this page is a biography..."
- If you are the author of the only substantial content of this page, and wish to have it deleted, please place {{Db-g7}} on the top of this page.
This reflects Wikipedia:Edit filter noticeboard#Filter 3 and new users blanking their own pages (G7). Thank you. NotReallySoroka (talk) 19:54, 18 June 2022 (UTC)

Given because of Special:Diff/1234873608 (in which new users will click Report error
because there's a button to press), I think there's no need for new or anonymous users to report to EFFPR if they fail on attempting to blank articles; the plain link will probably work just fine. I would also suggest implementing * If you are the author of the only substantial content of this page, and wish to have it deleted, please place {{db-g7}} on the top of this page.
as the edit request above this one was moot, as no administrator implemented it. Codename Noreste 🤔 Talk 16:27, 16 July 2024 (UTC)
- I would maintain that the big button is better for the new editors that usually trip the filter. If they come to false positives with a true positive, I'm not sure I really see the harm. The filter message is honestly over-linked as it is. EggRoll97 (talk) 19:00, 16 July 2024 (UTC)
- Not done for now: it's evident that this is a controversial suggestion. Firefangledfeathers (talk / contribs) 17:32, 17 July 2024 (UTC)
