Maria Margaronis

Maria Margaronis (born 1958 in London)[1] is a British journalist and broadcaster of Greek descent.

A former editor at and longtime contributor to The Nation and The Village Voice, her work has appeared in many other publications, including The Guardian, the London Review of Books, The Times Literary Supplement and The New York Times. She writes, presents and produces radio documentaries for BBC Radio 4, BBC Radio 3 and the BBC World Service. She has led writing workshops for Birkbeck, University of London and the charities Freedom from Torture and Women for Refugee Women.
