This list of tallest buildings in Lörrach ranks high-rise buildings and important landmarks that reach a height of 40 meters (131 feet). The tallest building in the city is the 72-meter-high Lörracher Rathaus, built in 1976.
Although Lörrach is only a small town with a population of 50,000, the number of high-rise buildings is remarkable. In direct comparison with the state capital, Stuttgart has significantly more high-rises and a much higher density of buildings between 60 and 70 meters. However, the height record between these two cities was long held by Lörrach with its town hall tower, which is also the tallest town hall building in the state. However, the city with the tallest high-rise buildings in Baden-Württemberg is Mannheim.
Nevertheless, until the end of the 1970s, the number of buildings over 40 meters was comparatively small, with only five. They were spread throughout the city. With the construction of the high-rise building on Chesterplatz in 2005, another high-rise building was added and, at the latest since the inner-city construction of the Steigenberger Hotel Stadt Lörrach in 2017 to the east of Lörrach's main railway station, a rethink began that the shortage of living space could be countered by moderate high-rise construction in addition to densification.
