Liam Reidy (born 14 June 2000) is an Australian rules footballer who plays with the Fremantle Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL).

Early career

[edit]

Reidy was often injured during his junior years, and never played Under 18's football in the Talent League.[1] In 2021 he played one game for Frankston in the Victorian Football League (VFL) as a forward, before returning in 2022 to become Frankston's main ruckman.[2] At the end of the season he was selected by Fremantle with the 13th selection in the 2023 rookie draft. He spent the entire 2023 season and most of the 2024 season playing for Fremantle's affiliate team Peel Thunder in the West Australian Football League (WAFL).[3]

AFL career

[edit]

Reidy made his AFL debut in the second last round of the 2024 AFL season as a replacement for the injured Sean Darcy.[4] He signed a one-year contract extension at the seasons end.[5]
