Leopold Bucher

Léopold Bucher (1797 – after 1858) was an Austrian painter of historical scenes, portraits and miniatures.[1][2]

Life

Leopold Bucher, noted history painter in Vienna, was born 1797 in Schwechat, and was still alive in 1858.[3] He exhibited at the Academy of Fine Arts in 1834, 1835, 1838 and 1850, after he had appeared in public in 1832 with the miniature painting „Die Cholera und das betende Österreich“.[3]
