La canción is an upcoming Spanish drama miniseries created by Pepe Coira [gl] and Fran Araújo and directed by Alejandro Marín. Exploring Spain's winning run at the 1968 Eurovision Song Contest, it stars Carolina Yuste as Massiel.

Plot

Ambitious television executive Esteban Guerra teams up with eccentric Artur Kaps [es] to find the appropiate artist and song to represent Spain at the 1968 Eurovision Song Contest. After several setbacks in the so-called 'Operación Eurovisión', including the depart of singer-songwriter Joan Manuel Serrat, singer Massiel will go on to win the contest with the catchy song "La la la".[1]

The series is a Buendía Estudios production.[3] It was primarily shot in Madrid with additional footage shot in London and Paris.[3]

Release

The three-episode miniseries will debut on Movistar Plus+ on 8 May 2025.[4]
