Kenny Bartram (born on August 23, 1978) is an American professional freestyle motocross rider. Bartram is from Stillwater, Oklahoma, hence his nickname "The Cowboy." (Oklahoma State University is located in Stillwater, their mascot is the cowboy and their colors are also orange, which Bartram usually wears). Before his career in FMX, he won many Oklahoma State Series MX Races. Out of all other riders, he currently has the most wins, 57 in all. Bartam has also suffered plenty of injuries, including 22 broken bones, 7 knocked out teeth, a steel plate in the jaw, and a damaged blood vessel in the brain (according to himself on an interview on the podcast, "M80" on FuelTV). "Cowboy" Kenny Bartram has signed on contract with KTM, which is the bike he has stuck to for a long time.[1]

Career
[edit]In 1999, at the Gravity Games I in Providence, Rhode Island, Bartram along with his best friend Travis Pastrana, they performed together in the Moto X Freestyle Team, and winning their first ever Gold medal as a team. At the 2000 Gravity Games, Bartram winning a 3rd place, a Gravity Games Bronze medal in Moto X Freestyle, while riding the Yamaha YZ125. At the 2001 Gravity Games, Bartram finished 7th place in the Moto X Freestyle, then at the 2002 Gravity Games in Cleveland, Ohio, Bartram winning 3rd place, and took home his second Gravity Games Bronze medal in the Moto X Freestyle event, while Mike Metzger took home his second Gravity Games Silver medal, after debuting the No Footed Backflip and Travis Pastrana took home his fourth Gravity Games Gold medal, after both Pastrana and Metzger pull off the Backflip.
At the 2000 X Games (X Games VI), in San Francisco, California, Bartram made his first X Games appearance in Moto X Freestyle, but he finished 15th place, and he didn't qualified for the Freestyle finals. At the 2001 Winter X Games V, in Mount Snow, Vermont, Bartram was riding the Yamaha YZ250F, and finished 5th place in the debut of Moto X Big Air. At the 2001 X Games (X Games VII), Bartram performed a Shaolin to Sterlizer and finished 1st place, and wins the first ever Moto X Big Air Gold medal. At the 2002 Winter X Games VI, in Aspen, Colorado, Bartram finished 6th place in the Moto X Big Air event. At the 2002 X Games (X Games VIII), in Moto X Freestyle, Bartram tried to pull off the Backflip off of a dirt kicker, but he broke his ankle in the end, and gets the Silver medal. At the 2003 X Games Global Championship, Bartram along with his teammate Nate Adams performed Backflips and wins the Gold medal in Moto X Freestyle for Team USA. At the 2003 X Games (X Games IX), Bartram made his Moto X Step Up debut, and took 7th place in the event, then Bartram finished 4th in the Moto X Freestyle and Bartram came back in the Moto X Big Air, performing the Backflip Heelclicker and winning the Bronze medal. At the 2004 X Games (X Games X) Bartram finished 10th place in Moto X Best Trick, then Bartram finished 6th in Moto X Freestyle, but he didn't qualified for the Freestyle finals and also he finish 11th in the Supermoto event. At the 2005 X Games (X Games XI), Bartram performed a Side Saddle Take-Off Backflip and finished 4th place in Moto X Best Trick, then Bartram pulled off the same trick and winning his second Silver medal in Moto X Freestyle. At the 2006 Winter X Games X, Bartram finished 8th place in Moto X Best Trick, and he didn't qualified for the finals. At X Games XII on Friday morning, while on a practice run, Bartram suffering a fractured wrist and broken clavicle. Bartram has been riding dirt bikes for 38 years of his life. Bartram is also apart of Travis Pastranas' Nitro Circus.
