Josh Simmons (born December 26, 2002) is an American football offensive tackle for the Ohio State Buckeyes. He previously played for the San Diego State Aztecs.

Early life

Simmons was born on December 26, 2002, in San Diego, California.[1] He attended and played football at Helix High School, where he was rated a four star recruit and committed to play college football at San Diego State University for the Aztecs.[2][3]

College career

In Simmons first career season in 2022, he started all 13 games for the Aztecs, appearing on 799 snaps.[4][5] After the conclusion of the 2022 season, Simmons decided to enter the NCAA transfer portal to continue out the rest of his college career elsewhere.[6]

Ohio State

Simmons transferred to the Ohio State University.[7][8] Simmons entered the 2023 season as the Buckeyes starting left tackle after beating out Tegra Tshabola for the job.[9][10]

On December 4, 2024, Simmons declared for the 2025 NFL draft.[11]
