Jet was a nightclub located at The Mirage on Las Vegas Boulevard.[1]

Hosted events

[edit]

Jet hosted a grand opening on December 30, 2005, featuring a red-carpet event attended by celebrities, including Enrique Iglesias, Ethan Suplee, Lance Bass, Jaleel White, Elizabeth Banks, and Paris Hilton.[2] Kid Rock hosted the venue's inaugural New Year’s Eve party the following evening.[3]

Performance space

[edit]

Jet has three distinct rooms, each with its own atmosphere. The first room played a mix of rock, hip-hop, and popular dance music, while the second room showcased house music and featured performances by international DJs. The third room provided a dynamic selection, blending everything from rock to classic ’80s tracks. European-style bottle service was available in each room.[4] The main dance floor was illuminated by over a hundred overhead graphic display cubes.[5]

Closure and rebrand

[edit]

Jet officially closed its doors on September 6, 2011, but its legacy continued with a rebranding to 1OAK Las Vegas. The venue reopened on New Year’s Eve 2011 under a partnership between The Light Group, which previously owned Jet, and The Butter Group of New York City, ushering in a new chapter for this iconic Las Vegas nightclub.[6]
