Jens Fønsskov Olsen (born 30 May 1975) is a Danish football manager. He is currently in charge of Danish Superliga club FC Nordsjælland.
Career
[edit]Olsen played football at NFA and most prominently played in the Danish 2nd Division.[1]
In 1999 he became youth coach at NFA and was promoted to manager of the reserves team called B 1921 in 2004.[2] In January 2008 he became new manager of LFA in the Danish 1st Division.[3] He left in May 2008, when the club hired Per Berg Larsen as supporting manager contrary to Olsen's wishes.[4]
Olsen then had spells as youth coach at Lyngby Boldklub and Nykøbing FC, before being named manager of Nykøbing FC in June 2014.[5] He left the club at the end of the 2018–19 season.[6]
In May 2020, he was announced as new manager of the Danish national U19 team.[7] In June 2023, he left the job to become new assistant manager to Johannes Hoff Thorup at FC Nordsjælland.[8] A year later, when Thorup left to become manager of Norwich City, Olsen was made new manager of FC Nordsjælland.[9]
