Iron Family (Korean다리미 패밀리) is an ongoing South Korean television series starring Kim Jung-hyun, Keum Sae-rok, Choi Tae-joon, and Yang Hye-ji. It premiered on KBS2 on September 28, 2024, and airs every Saturday and Sunday at 19:55 (KST).[3]

Synopsis

Iron Family tells the story of the 'clean laundry' family of Da-rim and her husband ironing money instead of clothes.

Development

The romantic black comedy family drama was written by Seo Sook-hyang, who wrote the 50 billion blockbuster drama Ask the Stars, and directed by Seong Jun-hae, who directed Bravo, My Life (2022), and Seo Yong-soo. It was produced by KeyEast and Monster Union.[10]

On June 23, 2024, it was reported that the series would drastically reduce the number of episodes to 36, breaking the existing method of producing mainly 50 episodes.[11]
