The International Journal of Historical Archaeology is an academic journal devoted to the archaeology of historical sites.[1] Historical archaeology in the Americas focuses on the post-1492 period and extends into the Late Medieval period. It is understood to highlight global connections between sites, regions, and continents, and contributes to theoretical, methodological, and site-specific research. It serves as a resource for archaeologists, students, historians, and preservationists, and includes input from an international community of experts.[2]
