Hornsby Ku-ring-gai Spiders is an Australian basketball club based in Hornsby, Australia. The Spiders play in the NBL1 East conference within the Australian NBL1.[1]
The club operates across six venues and are the main users of the Brickpit Sports Stadium in Thornleigh.[2][3]
History
[edit]The Spiders have won three championships in the NBL1 East Women's league (formerly the Waratah League) in 2007, 2009, and 2014. In 2007, Hornsby defeated the Bankstown Bruins to win the 2007 championship. In 2009, the Spiders defeated the Bruins again to win the 2009 title.[4] In 2014, Hornsby defeated the Hills Hornets 94-63 in the finals to win the championship.[5]
