Career

[edit]

Haitham Shaker received training in singing and music at the Arabic Music Institute, where he studied the principles of vocal performance and maqamat. He has a number of albums, including "Stay by My Side", released in 2004, and an album titled "New to Me", released in 2008.[1]

Personal life

[edit]

He was born in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, and is married with two children.[2] In 2019, Shaker revealed that he had been dealing with a serious illness, which forced him to step away from the music scene for five years.[3] In an interview with Youm7 newspaper, he shared that he had been diagnosed with a tumor, necessitating frequent travel between London and Cairo for treatment. He chose to keep this private, as he wished to avoid being viewed with sympathy.[3]
