Florida Creek (Nodaway River tributary)

Florida Creek is a stream in Nodaway County in the U.S. state of Missouri.[1] It is a tributary of the Nodaway River and is 13.3 miles long.[2]
The stream headwaters arise at 40°23′25″N 94°57′57″W / 40.3902687°N 94.9658066°W one mile south of the community of Wilcox and it flows southwesterly for a distance of approximately eight miles to its confluence with the Nodaway River just north of Skidmore at 40°18′25″N 95°05′02″W / 40.3069368°N 95.0838635°W.[3][1] According to the Missouri Department of Conservation, there are three unnamed tributaries of Florida Creek.[2]
It is unknown why the name "Florida Creek" was applied to this stream.[4]
