Esfand (Farsi: اسفند) is an Iranian film directed and written by Danesh Aghbashavi. The film is a joint production of the Owj Arts and Media Organization and the Farabi Cinema Foundation.

Story Summary

This film, which is scheduled to participate in the 43rd Fajr Film Festival, deals with a crucial part of the Iran-Iraq War. In this film, the subject refers to the problems that existed among the natives of Khuzestan Province during the war, as well as the problems among Iranian fighters during it. During this time, Ali Hashemi, through dialogue and interaction with the natives of the region and Khuzestan, achieves success in reducing tensions and resolving existing challenges, and in the end, the Arab natives of the region put themselves sincerely at the service of the Islamic Revolution and the Iran-Iraq War. On the other hand, this film deals with a part of Ali Hashemi's life, especially the period when he was present in the reconnaissance and planning of the Khyber operation.[1][2][3]
