Elijah Sarratt (born May 28, 2003),[1] nicknamed Waffle House, is an American football wide receiver for the Indiana Hoosiers. He previously played for the Saint Francis Red Flash and James Madison Dukes.

Early life and high school

Sarratt attended Saint Frances Academy in Baltimore, Maryland. He originally attended Colonial Forge High School before transferring to Saint Frances prior to his senior year.[2] He committed to play college football at Saint Francis University.

As a freshman, Sarratt totaled 42 receptions for 700 yards and 13 touchdowns.[3] Following the conclusion of the season, he entered the transfer portal.

James Madison

Sarratt transferred to James Madison University, emerging as the team's leading receiver.[4] He finished his sophomore campaign recording 82 receptions for 1,191 yards and nine total touchdowns, while being named to the first-team All-Sun Belt.[5] Following the conclusion of the season, Sarratt entered the transfer portal for a second time.[6]

Indiana

On January 4, 2024, Sarratt announced that he would be transferring to Indiana University Bloomington to play for the Indiana Hoosiers.[7][8]
