El Nabi Ayoub is a religious shrine located in the village of Niha, Chouf, in the Chouf District of Lebanon, about 65km southeast of Beirut, at an elevation of 1,050-1,850 meters above sea level. The shrine is dedicated to the Prophet Job, known in Arabic as Ayoub, a figure revered in Islam, Christianity, and Judaism for his steadfast patience and faith in the face of adversity. The main building houses Prophet Job's tomb (Darih El Nabi Ayyoub). Local traditions claim, the shrine marks a site associated with the prophet's trials and is visited by pilgrims seeking blessings and spiritual solace. According to sources around 15,000 visitors per month.[1][2][3]

[edit]Situated in the Al Shouf Cedar Nature Reserve, the shrine is surrounded by natural fauna including Lebanon's ancient Cedar, with its elevated location offering panoramic views of the surrounding landscapes. The village of Niha is itself notable for its historical significance and scenic charm, including other landmarks such as ancient rock-carved temples and heritage structures.
