East Delta University (Bengali: ইস্ট ডেল্টা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় or EDU) is a North American style private university in Chattogram, Bangladesh.[4] It was founded in 2006.[5] The university has quickly gained prominence for its commitment to delivering quality education and fostering a research-driven academic environment. EDU's campus is celebrated for its modern architecture, seamlessly integrated with natural beauty, offering a serene and inspiring setting for students and faculty alike.
East Delta University follows the North American grading system and curriculum, aligning its academic standards with international benchmarks. This system, combined with its open-minded and innovative approach, ensures that both teachers and students are engaged in a dynamic, collaborative learning environment. East Delta University is approved by the government of Bangladesh as well as the Bangladesh University Grants Commission (UGC) under the nation's private university acts.
The university is governed by the East Delta University Trust, a subsidiary of the Chittagong Foundation, an independent and non-partisan social welfare organization.
Programs offered
[edit]The university will limit itself to offering four-year bachelor's degree in a limited number of subjects along with its major focus on Master of Business Administration, MA in English and MSc/MPPL taught by distinguished international faculties.

Academic Support Clinic
[edit]The academic support clinic is a university educational unit with the mission of providing academic assistance to students to a limited extent in their academic advancement, as well as academic services that require and benefit from a variety of academic disciplinary perspectives.[8]
Access Academy
[edit]For students enrolled in East Delta University's undergraduate program, Access Academy is a credit-required curriculum. Three-credit courses are available at the academy. These courses must be taken and passed, but grades will not be factored into the final CGPA. This program consists of three courses that focus on the many abilities (personal and academic) that a student may possess. In their first year at EDU, students will take Access Academy courses to prepare them for their future academic and professional lives. Students will be accredited Access Academy alumni after completing prescribed courses.[9]
IEEE EDU Student Branch
[edit]The IEEE East Delta University Student Branch (STB11437) is part of the world's largest technical professional organization dedicated to the advancement of technology for the benefit of humanity. Established at East Delta University, this student branch provides a platform for students to engage in technical and professional development activities. It regularly organizes workshops, seminars, and competitions that foster innovation and practical learning. Some of its flagship activities include hosting technical webinars, robotics competitions, coding hackathons, workshops and training to the technological and professional growth of its members.[10][11]
EDU Startup & Innovation Foundry
[edit]The EDU Startup & Innovation Foundry is a dedicated platform at East Delta University, designed to foster entrepreneurship and innovation among students and the broader community.[12] It provides resources, mentorship, and a collaborative space for aspiring entrepreneurs to develop and launch their business ideas.[13]The Foundry aims to nurture a culture of creativity and problem-solving, supporting startups from conception to execution, and empowering students to become leaders in the dynamic world of business and technology.

[edit]The EDU Startup & Innovation Foundry has established partnerships with various organizations to bolster its support for entrepreneurship and innovation. These collaborations provide students with valuable resources, mentorship, and networking opportunities to develop and launch their business ideas. Key partnerships include:
- Turtle Venture: EDU Startup & Innovation Foundry collaborates with Turtle Venture, a startup ecosystem development company, to support pre-seed and seed-stage startups. In 2022, they co-hosted the "Turtle Venture Excelerator" event at East Delta University.[14][15]
- Orange Corners: A partnership with Orange Corners, an initiative of the Netherlands Ministry of Foreign Affairs, provides support for young entrepreneurs in emerging markets, focusing on business development and training.[16]
- YY Ventures: The Foundry collaborates with YY Ventures, an organization dedicated to creating social businesses, to empower students to develop innovative solutions for social challenges.[17]
- Bangladesh Youth Leadership Center (BYLC): In partnership with BYLC, the Foundry offers leadership training and entrepreneurship programs aimed at nurturing the next generation of leaders.[18]
- LightCastle Partners: The Foundry collaborates with LightCastle Partners to promote green and eco-friendly business initiatives, providing strategic support for startups focused on sustainability.[19][20]
