This is a list of the Venezuela's representatives and their placements at the Big Four beauty pageants. Venezuela is widely considered a beauty pageant powerhouse, has won in all four pageants, with a total of 138 placements and 24 victories[1][2]:

[edit]Miss Venezuela
[edit]Since its inception, the Miss Venezuela is in charge of selecting Venezuelan delegates to Miss Universe[5], Miss World[6], and Miss International[7]. In recent years, the Miss Venezuela organization has been holding a separate pageant to select its representatives to Miss World[8]. The 2nd Runner-Up of Miss Venezuela traditionally is sent to compete at Miss International. In recent years, Miss Venezuela selects a runner-up or second position at Miss Venezuela pageant as Miss Venezuela Internacional[9].
Miss Earth Venezuela
[edit]From 2001 to 2009, the Sambil Model Organization were in charge of selecting Venezuelan delegates at Miss Earth[10]. In 2010, the Miss Venezuela organization acquired the franchise of Miss Earth in Venezuela. Since 2016, Julio César Cruz and Alyz Henrich are the national directors of Miss Earth in Venezuela and started to run Miss Earth Venezuela, a separate pageant to select Venezuelan delegates to Miss Earth[4].
Participation in international pageant competitions
[edit]Venezuela won its first big four pageant title in 1955, with Susana Duijm winning Miss World 1955, making her the first Venezuelan and Latin American to win the title[11]. The country won its first Miss Universe crown in 1979 with Maritza Sayalero[12]. Two years later in July 1981, Irene Sáez became the second Miss Universe titleholder from Venezuela[13]. Four months later, Pilín León won Miss World 1981, the second Miss World title of the country, twenty-six years after Susana Duijm's victory in 1955[14]. This made also Venezuela one of the countries to win Miss Universe and Miss World in a calendar year. In 1984, three years after Pilín León won Miss World 1981, Astrid Carolina Herrera became the third Miss World titleholder of the country[15]. A year later, Venezuela won its first Miss International crown with Nina Sicilia in 1985[16]. Followed by Bárbara Palacios in 1986[17], the third Miss Universe title of Venezuela. In 1991, seven years after Astrid Carolina Herrera won Miss World 1984, Ninibeth Leal became the fourth Miss World titleholder of the country[18]. Followed by Jacqueline Aguilera four years later in 1995, becoming Venezuela's fifth victory at Miss World[19]. Ten years after Bárbara Palacios' victory at Miss Universe, Alicia Machado won Miss Universe 1996[19], the fourth time Venezuela won at Miss Universe. In 1997, twelve years after Nina Sicilia's victory at Miss International, Consuelo Adler became the second Venezuelan to win Miss International[20].
In 2000, Vivian Urdaneta won Miss International 2000, making her the third Venezuelan Miss International titleholder[21]. Followed by Goizeder Azua in 2003, marking the fourth time Venezuela won at Miss International[21]. In 2005, Venezuela won its first Miss Earth crown with Alexandra Braun[1]. This made Venezuela the second country to win all big four beauty pageants[1]. In 2006, Daniela di Giacomo became the fifth Venezuelan Miss International titleholder[21]. In 2008 and 2009, Venezuela made history at Miss Universe, achieving a back-to-back victory, with Dayana Mendoza and Stefania Fernandez[22]. The fifth and sixth Miss Universe crown of the country. Venezuela is the only country so far to achieve a back-to-back victory at Miss Universe[22]. In 2010, Elizabeth Mosquera won the sixth Miss International crown for Venezuela[23]. Sixteen years after Jacqueline Aguilera's victory at Miss World, Ivian Sarcos won Miss World 2011, marking Venezuela won sixth time at Miss World, the most wins at the pageant at the time[24]. This is also the recent victory of Venezuela at Miss World. Four years after the historic win of Stefania Fernandez at Miss Universe, Gabriela Isler won Miss Universe 2013, becoming the seventh and the recent victory of the country at the pageant[25]. This made Venezuela the country with second most wins at Miss Universe. In the same year, Alyz Henrich won Miss Earth 2013, the second win of Venezuela at Miss Earth and the recent time the country won on the said pageant[26]. In 2015, Edymar Martínez won Miss International 2015[27] and followed by Mariem Velazco in 2018, the seventh and eighth victory of Venezuela at the pageant[28]. In 2023, Andrea Rubio won Miss International 2023, marking the ninth and the recent win of Venezuela at Miss International. The most wins of a country at the pageant[29].
