Glanworth is a civil parish in the baronies of Condons and Clangibbon and Fermoy, County Cork, Ireland, that has a total of 32 townlands.

Ballintantassig

Ballintantassig (Baile an tSóitéasaigh) is a townland located nearly 4 km north of Glanworth village. It is a small townland, spanning 102.94 acres (0.4166 km²). Ballykenley Stud, a horse breeder, is located here even though Ballykenly is just west of the townland.[1]

Ballyclogh

Ballyclogh (Baile Cloiche) is a townland located 5.1 km east of Glanworth village. It spans an area of 687.33 acres (2.7815 km²) and is just east of Manning Cross.[2]

Ballykeating

Ballykeating (Baile an Chéitinnigh) is a townland only a short distance north of Boherash townland spanning 439.24 acres (1.7775 km²). The townland is very rural, despite being one of the closest townlands to Glanworth village. There are only a couple of houses dotted about the townland.[3]

Ballykenly

Ballykenly (Baile an Chindéalaigh) is a townland located 3.8 km north of Glanworth village. It spans an area of 135.29 acres (0.5475 km²) and is home to Ballykenly Bridge and Monument Cross. It is located between Ballintantassig and Newgrove.[4]

Ballylegan

Ballylegan (Baile an Liagáin) is a townland immediately north of Glanworth village spanning 388.19 acres (1.5710 km²). Ballylegan is home to the Legan Standing Stone[5]

Ballynacaheragh

Ballynacaheragh (Baile na Cathrach) is a townland located 7.2 km northeast of Glanworth village. It spans 247.99 acres (1.0036 km²) and is slightly west of the Mitchelstown-Fermoy Motorway (M8).[6]

Ballynahow (Murrogh)

Ballynahow (Murrogh) (Baile na hAbha (Murrogh)) is a townland located just east of Cornhill with Labbacallee a bit farther east, spanning 122.10 acres (0.4941 km²). The townland's northernmost point is located right on the River Funshion.[7]

Ballynahow (Spiers)

Ballynahow (Spiers) (Baile na hAbha (Spiers)) is a townland located just east of Ballynahow (Murrogh). It spans an area of 202.46 acres (0.8193 km²) and is home to Ballynahow Cross. The townland's northernmost point is located along the River Funshion.[8]

Ballynamona

Ballynamona (Baile na Móna) is a townland located just north of Glanworth village spanning 425.12 acres (1.7204 km²). It is mostly rural.[9]

Ballynamongaree

Ballynamongaree (Baile na Móna Rua) is a townland located just west of Glanworth townland. It spans an area of 201.05 acres (0.8136 km²) and is home to a farm equipment supplier.[10]

Ballynaraha

Ballynaraha (Baile na Rátha) is a townland located just east of Moneen and just south of Sandville. It spans an area of 269.52 acres (1.0907 km²).[11]

Ballynoe East

Ballynoe East (An Baile Nua Thoir) is a townland located just 1.6km north of Ballyclogh. It spans an area of 91.43 acres (0.3700 km²).[12]

Ballynoe West

Ballynoe West (An Baile Nua Thiar) is a townland located just west of Ballynoe East and just east of Killeagh. It is the smaller of the two Ballynoes, spanning 45.08 acres (0.1824 km²).[13]

Ballyvolock

Ballyvolock (Baile Bhólac) is a townland located between Ballyclogh and Downing South. It spans an area of 148.40 acres (0.6005 km²).[14]

Boherash

Boherash (Bóthar an Ráis) is a townland that spans 259.75 acres (1.0512 km²) and contains the northern part of Glanworth village including Glanworth Castle, St Patrick's National School, School Around the Corner Childcare, Glanworth's playground and Glanworth GAA Pitch.[15][failed verification]

Clontinty

Clontinty (Cluain Tinte) is a townland that borders Boherash to the east spanning 147.70 acres (0.5977 km²). It is just across the road from Glanworth village, but only consists of a few houses.[16]

Corbally

Corbally (An Corrbhaile) is a townland that is very long from north to south spanning 374.44 acres (1.5153 km²). Despite it's big size relative to other townlands in the civil parish, Corbally has very little population.[17]

Cornhill

Cornhill (Carraig na gCruach) is a townland just south of Glanworth village. Located east of Labbacallee, which is in Litter Civil Parish, Cornhill spans an area of 342.12 acres (1.3845 km²). Despite it's proximity to Labbacallee and Glanworth, Cornhill is very rural.[18]

Curraghagalla North

Curraghagalla North (Currach an Ghallaigh Thuaidh) is a townland located to the west of Kilworth Camp spanning 282.50 acres (1.1433 km²). James C. Byrne, an artist known for his expressionist paintings, lives here. There are only a few houses in the townland.[19]

Curraghagalla South

Curraghagalla South (Currach an Ghallaigh Theas) is a townland to the south of Curraghagalla North spanning 141.45 acres (0.5724 km²). It is the smaller of the two Curraghagalla townlands and is home to the Church of the Holy Family, one of three churches in the ecclesiastical parish of Glanworth, Ballindangan and Curraghagalla. Curraghoo Beg

Curraghoo Beg (Corr Thua Bheag) is a townland that borders Ballintantassig to the north and Ballynamona to the west spanning 296.81 acres (1.2012 km²). The townland is mainly rural with only a few houses.[21]

Curraghoo More

Curraghoo More (Corr Thua Mhór) is a townland to the south of Curraghoo Beg and to the north of Boherash spanning 197.71 acres (0.8001 km²). The townland is mainly rural.[22]

Glanworth

Glanworth (Gleannúir) is the most populous townland in the civil parish spanning 436.39 acres (1.7660 km²). The townland contains most of Glanworth village, including its main street. It also contains St Dominic Graveyard and Holy Cross Catholic Church. Glanworth mill and bridge are located in this townland.[23][failed verification]

Gortnahown

Gortnahown (Gort na hUamhan) is a large townland located just south of Mitchelstown spanning 572.22 acres (2.3157km²). The townland is home to Gortnahown Stone Quarry. The south and southeastern portion of Gortnahown consists of the Kilworth Mountains.[24]

Killeagh

Killeagh (An Choill Liath) is a townland to the west of Ballynoe West spanning 331.94 acres (1.3433 km²). It is a rural townland with a few houses.[25]

Laght

Laght (An Leacht) is a townland just south of Ballylegan spanning 132.01 acres (0.5342 km²). It is just across the road from Glanworth's GAA pitch but itself is purely made up of fields and a few houses.[26][failed verification]

Manning

Manning (Manainn) is a townland east of Glanworth village spanning 391.48 acres (1.5843 km²). Despite being a relatively large townland, there are only a few houses and acres of fields.[27][failed verification]

Moneen

Moneen (An Móinín) is a townland on the Ballyhooly road from Glanworth. It spans 277.38 acres (1.1225 km²) and is home to a local recording studio.[28]

Newgrove

Newgrove (Cillín na nGall) is a townland sitting on the River Funshion spanning 322.71 acres (1.3060 km²). A mainly rural townland, Newgrove has only a few houses located within it's borders.[29]

Rathdaggan

Rathdaggan (Ráth an Deagánaigh) is a townland located just across the River Funshion from Glanworth village. It spans 68.85 acres (0.2786 km²) and has only a couple of houses to the south-east.[30]

Sandville

Sandville (Clais an Ghainimh) is a rural townland located to the west of Ballynamongaree and a bit further west of Glanworth village spanning 471.52 acres (1.9082 km²). The townland is home to only a few houses and Sandville Stud.[31][failed verification]

String

String (An Téad) is a rural townland located north of Sandville and Ballynamongaree spanning 239.14 acres (0.9677 km²). Despite its proximity to Glanworth village,[original research?] the townland is home to very few houses.[32][failed verification]
