The Apes are an Italian power trio formed in Bergamo in 2022, their sound is a mixture of brit pop, garage rock and indie rock.
The lineup consists of Giorgio Facchinetti(guitar and vocals), Lorenzo Gualandris(drums) and Marco S. Soccol (bass guitar). Their energetic sound brought them to play stages all over italy and acquire a very loyal fanbase.
biography
[edit]Formed in 2022 by Giorgio Facchinetti, Lorenzo Gualandris and Lorenzo Corti after a dissolution of their first group "Strive". The Apes first took the stage at C.S.A. Pacì Paciana performing a mixture of covers along side some early versions of what would become some of their most acclaimed tracks.
In 2023 the band saw themselves participating in many music contests and even reaching the semi-finals of Sanremo Rock Festival. 2023 also saw the departure of Lorenzo Corti from the position of bass player, with the band recruiting Marco Soccol from the local progressive rock group "golf", whose first performance in the group was held on the 8th of December of that same year. With Marco the band went in to Big Tree Studios to record what would become their yet to be released first record "Evolution Anthems" containing the singles "Maddie", "Keep On Movin'" and "Morning View", mixed and engineered by Bruno "Brown" Barcella, edited by Alessio Lonati and mastered by Riccardo Zamboni and is set for release on Crazy Monkeys Records in 2025.
