Sunil Sharma is an Indian actor who works predominantly in Telugu films and serials along with Hindi serials too. Sunil Sharma is a find of Sri Bapu Garu and Sri Mullapudi Venkata Ramana Garu, who crafted him in the roles of Lord Rama and Lord Krishna in their famous TV Serial Sri Bhagavatam which was telecast on ETV Telugu from 2003-2007 He has also starred in a couple of films like Radha Gopalam, Sundarakanda (2008 film), Anjani Putrudu, Tathagatha Buddha - the life and times of Gautama Buddha, Gautamiputra Satakarni, NTR: Mahanayakudu, Head Constable Venkataramaiah.^[1]

Biography

Early life

Sunil Sharma was born in the year 1973 in the holy town of Ujjain. He received his education in Ujjain.

He also underwent a 1 year diploma course in Prof.Kishore Namit school of acting.

He also has 3 years experience in theater

Career

Sunil Sharma is a find of Sri Bapu (director) Garu and Sri Mullapudi Venkata Ramana Garu, who crafted him in the roles of Lord Rama and Lord Krishna in their magnum opus TV Serial Sri Bhagavatam which was telecast on ETV Telugu from 2003-2007Sri Bhagavatam. He has starred alongside actors Puneet Issar, Vindu Dara Singh, Gargi Roychowdhury, Sharmilee Raj in this well shot serial, which is based on the life and times of Lord Krishna and His devotees. Sunil essayed the roles of the Lord quite well and was well received and appreciated by the audience.

Films

Judging from his performances as Lord Rama and Lord Krishna, Bapu (director) Garu also cast him in his projects like Radhagopalam and Sundarakanda (2008 film). Sunil essayed with ease, the much appreciated character of Raja Ravi Varma in the film Sundarakanda (2008 film), a character at that point of time - double his age.

He then starred alongside Smt.Ramya Krishnan Garu and Sri Nagendra Babu Garu in the film Anjani Putrudu in the year 2009 Sunil also went on to play the pivotal role of Lord Buddha in the highly critically acclaimed film Tathagatha Buddha - the life and times of Gautama Buddha, directed by Sri Allani Sridhar Garu and produced by Sri Raj Kandukuri. This film was also appreciated by The Dalai Lama.

Sunil also essayed the role of Saint Tulsidas in the 2013 film Goswami Tulsidas He also starred alongside senior actress Smt.Jayasudha Garu and Sri R. Narayana Murthy Garu in the 2017 movie Head Constable Venkataramaiah in the role of the antagonist of the film. Sunil also shared screen space in two films along with Sri Nandamuri Balakrishna Garu - Gautamiputra Satakarni in 2017 and NTR: Mahanayakudu in 2018, both films helmed by Krish (director)

Serials

He was also cast in the Telugu serial Goda Kalyanam, by producer Sri Raghavendra Rao Garu and director Meer. Apart from this, he also vowed his audiences in the Telugu serial Real Detectives as ACP Indrajeet. Sunil had also portrayed the role of Lord Shiva in the serial Shree Ganesh by Creative Eye Limited from 2000-2001. This show was acquired by StarPlus in the covid related lockdown in 2020 and saw a rerun during that period and enjoyed good viewership. He has also starred as one of the antagonists the serial Tere Sheher Mein on StarPlus which was telecast in 2015.
