Shane Micheal Fanning (born March 16th 2000) is an Irish voice actor/actor. He has been nominated twice for an Academy Juvenile Award and once for a BAFTA Rising Star Award. Despite his nominations, Fanning is a relatively unknown actor, not being credited for any of his roles.

Home life

Fanning was born in Wesport, Co. Mayo but later moved to Dublin at a young age. His father was John Fanning and his mother Julia Fanning. Fanning had no siblings and a chocolate labrador named "Tammy"

Career

His first appearance on television was for an advertisement for his fathers law practice. his father was impressed with his acting skills and when Fanning showed interest in acting he enrolled in Gaiety School of Acting where Fanning would star in many plays with the Gaiety Panto. Fanning went on to star in many movies as a backround extra, until his first major role in Iron Man 2 where he played a young Peter Parker who was saved by Iron man. Fanning's first voice acting role was as an extra in Despicable Me. His next and first major role voice acting was 3 years late in Monsters University. This was Fanning's last role, so he quit his acting career and joined the Irish army in 2018 where he served in a tour of peacekeeping in Syria and then 2 tours in Lebanon.

Later Career

Fanning was withdrawn from Lebanon in late 2023. Upon his return he pursued a degree in Irish history in Trinity College Dublin that he is still doing today.
