"PHOENIX" is a song released by Ukrainian singer Marcus Alexon on April 12th 2018. The song was originally written in Ukrainian and was called "ВОСХОДЯЩИЙ ФЕНІКС" translating to "Rising Pheonix". But it was later translated into English after about a year after. The song is heavily inspired by the song "1944" by Jamala who won the Eurovision Song Contest in 2016 with the song.

The song was released by "Tropicanic Records" which was started in 2014 by Producer and Songwriter Matthew Cowell. The song did not do very well in the start and was banned in Russia for mentioning the war between Ukraine and Russia.

Marcus Alexon tried to pitch the song to the Ukrainian national final for Eurovision "Vidbir" in 2018 but was unfortunately rejected.
