Patrick de Preux (born 5 April 1955) is a retired Swiss notary,[1] professional pilot, former politician, former President of Golf de Lausanne, and former President of the Lausanne Hockey Club, currently one of the administrators/directors of the Lausanne Airfield and co-founder of Héli-Lausanne. [2]

de Preux is also the guitar player in High5, a poprock musical group.[3]

Early life and professional career

de Preux was born in Lausanne, Switzerland, from his mother, Christine de Preux, née Nicod, [4] and father, Dr. Raoul de Preux,[5] a cardiologist. [6] [7] de Preux is the fourth child of the family and the only boy. His sisters are Anne, Mima, and Alix. [4]

He married a first time in 1981 with Bellice de Preux, née Rychner.[8]. They had two children before their divorce. de Preux is now married to Astrid. [9]

Notary since 1984, he established his practice in Lausanne.[1] He is the director of the real estate management company Gérance Robert Crot & Cie SA since January 16, 1997. [10]

A Passion for Aircrafts

First a paraglider, de Preux always loved flying and became a pilot after an paragliding accident.[7] In 1993, he engaged himself in a very heated debated to rescue the Lausanne Airfield. [11] "In 1993, the operating concession was transferred from the municipality of Lausanne to the ARLB (Aéroport Région Lausannoise la Blécherette SA). "Yvette Jaggi had given us four months before going bankrupt," recounts Patrick de Preux, one of the activists involved. "Thanks to the subscriptions launched, we raised 2.7 million francs, which allowed us to restart activities at La Blécherette and gain the trust of the banks." [copied from 24 heures [11]]

de Preux is a keen golf player and was the President of the Golf de Lausanne for nine years.[7]

In 2011, he became the President of the of the Lausanne Hockey Club until 2024.[12]
