Parvathaneni Venkata Krishna (born in 1971), popularly known as VK, is an Indian Telugu journalist known for his live debates on ongoing issues. He has worked in Telugu print and electronic media, and also worked as an anchor, moderator, editor and analyst..[1]. He is currently working as an editor and heading the ABN Andhrajyothy Media and hosts "The Debate" in the prime time[2].
He started his career as an Eenadu reporter in the Warangal district where he became well known for his reports on the Naxal movement[3]. He later shifted to electronic media and worked with the ETV, TV 5 News, 6TV HMTV, and AP 24X7. He is also known for his analysis in the name of "News Scan" on TV 5 News. He was arrested by CID on a news report on the alleged conspiracy behind the death of Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy, which led to overnight attacks on Reliance groups’ outlets in Andhra Pradesh.[4][5]. Later, on HMTV he conducted and hosted various programmes including Dasha-Disha, Left and Right etc. [6]
He hails from Govindaraopet, Mulug. He extended his support to the Mulug MLA Seethakka, who staged a dharna for the Mulug District under Mulug JAC [7].
