From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

PB is an album by the Norwegian musician Per Bergersen it's the only album ever released by Per Bergersen. He was never able to release any material. During the funeral for Per Bergersen a few of his friends decided to make an album with his best songs. 1000 copies were made of the PB LP and they we're all sold out quickly and the earnings went to Røros Fritidsklubb. Today the album has earned a cult status in the Norwegian underground.

PB primarily draws from Redrum Psychosis and live recordings at Thomasgaarden, Røros, in 1990, the evening prior to his death. Per Bergersen composed the majority of his songs in Norwegian, with three in English. His body of work often delved into dark and somber themes, likely influenced by his personal struggles with depression and other issues. The majority of PB's content includes strong critiques of society and social frameworks, exemplified in songs like "Sachsenhausen." This track contains a poignant line, roughly translated as, "They fire up the over for you or me, they dont really care who they burn." This sentiment likely reflects Per Bergersen's sense of being an outsider in society, unable and unwelcome to fully engage on his own terms.
