Nizar Dahmani is an acclaimed Moroccan drummer whose musical journey began at the age of 10 in the coastal city of Jemaatshaim , safi, Morocco. Growing up immersed in his country’s rich musical traditions while being exposed to international rhythms and styles, Nizar developed a dynamic approach to drumming that bridges diverse musical worlds.
As a self-taught artist, Nizar’s passion for rhythm has propelled him to perform on stages across the globe, captivating audiences in the United States, Europe, and the Arab world. His deep knowledge of traditional Arab rhythms and his innovative techniques have made him a sought-after collaborator for Big names artist from Morocco, Lebanon, Israel,Egypt ,Algeria and beyond. Over the years, Nizar has toured extensively in France, the United Kingdom, north africa, Canada, the Middle East, and throughout the United States.
Nizar is a pioneer in the Arab world, achieving several firsts in the drumming community. He is the first drummer in the Arab world who perform solo drum show on public television 2M TV, breaking barriers and showcasing the power of percussion as a standalone art form. Additionally, he is the first drummer in the Arab world who offer YouTube lessons in Arabic, making drumming accessible to a wider audience and inspiring aspiring musicians across the region.
In 2022, Nizar achieved a career milestone by featuring on the stage with the Grammy-winning band SnarkyPuppy, further solidifying his reputation as a versatile and accomplished musician. That same year, he became an official artist for Vater Drumsticks, and in 2023, he joined the roster of PaisteCymbals, aligning himself with world-renowned brands that recognize his artistry and skill.
Since relocating to the United States in January 11, 2019, Nizar has continued to evolve as both a performer and an educator.
