Neddie Smith (born March 24, 2002) is an Irish-British musician, songwriter, and entrepreneur. He first gained recognition on the social media platform TikTok in 2022, where he amassed a significant following.[2]

On June 23, 2023, Smith released his debut single, Mocking Bird, which achieved commercial success, debuting at No. 14 on both the UK iTunes charts.[3][1]

Neddie Smith was born on March 24, 2002, in Kilkenny, Ireland. He developed an interest in music during his teenage years which mostly was spent in the community of Yate in Bristol, United Kingdom, he began to record music with friends while attending secondary school in Bristol, United Kingdom, at the age of 14.[5][6][7]

Smith attended Yate Academy in Bristol, United Kingdom, where he spent a significant portion of his childhood.[1]

Career

In 2021, Neddie Smith collaborated with Tim Hortons UK on a video campaign promoting the launch of their new location in Gloucester, Bristol. The campaign featured Smith introducing new products from the coffee and donut chain.[8][9] Smith began gaining attention online in early 2022, building a following on the social media platform TikTok. He officially released his debut single, "Mocking Bird," on June 23, 2023, which charted at No. 14 on the UK iTunes Chart.[1] Smith's music has garnered significant attention online, with his songs accumulating over 31 million views on all TikTok music platfroms.[10] He followed up with the release of the singles "Wave After Wave" and "Monster” which had contributed to this as well.[11]
