Musa al-Gharbi

Musa al-Gharbi is an American sociologist.[1][2]
He is the former communications director of the Heterodox Academy.[1]
Biography
[edit]Musa al-Gharbi grew up in southern Arizona in a military family. He graduated from Cochise Community College and then received a BA in Near Eastern studies and a MA in philosophy at the University of Arizona. In 2023, he received a PhD in sociology from Columbia University.[3]
In 2023, he became an assistant professor in the School of Communication and Journalism at Stony Brook University.[4]
In 2021, his book, We Have Never Been Woke: Social Justice Discourse, Inequality, and the Rise of a New Elite, was acquired by Princeton University Press.[5] It was published in 2024.[6][7][8][9][10][11][12]
