Mohsen Bakhtiar (born 21 April, 1965 in Golpayegan, Iran) graduated with a PhD in Economics from Allameh Tabatabai University in Iran. He is an Iranian economist and diplomat and the ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to China since June 2023[1]. He is also the accredited ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Mongolia[2][3]. Mohsen Bakhtiar has previously been the Deputy Minister of Planning and Economic Affairs of the Ministry of Energy, Acting Deputy Minister of Energy of the Ministry of Energy, Director General of the Export Development Office, Advisor to the Minister of Energy in providing and equipping foreign financial resources, and Director General of the Integrated and Strategic Planning Office of the Ministry.

Background

Bakhtiar native language is Farsi (also known as Persian), due to being born in Iran. His influence to start working on his athleticism was his parents.[4]

Career

Bakhtiar represented Iran at the 2024 Summer Paralympics and won a bronze medal in the 59 kg powerlifting event.[4]
