American wrestler and coach
Mark Manning is an American former folkstyle and freestyle wrestler who is currently serving as the head coach of the Nebraska Cornhuskers wrestling team . He attended the University of Nebraska–Lincoln for one year before transferring to the University of Nebraska Omaha , where he would win two NCAA Division II Championships and two North Central Conference Championships .

On June 11, 1997, Manning was hired to be the head coach for the Northern Iowa Panthers .[ 1] On December 13, Manning won his first dual meet with an 18–16 win over Indiana . In his first season, Manning's squad finished with a 5–9 dual record and 30th at the 1998 NCAA Division I Championships.
