Kala Utsav was established by the Student Activity Centre (SAC) of KLH Deemed to Be University[2] as a national-level cultural festival to provide students with a prestigious platform for artistic expression, creative exploration, and cultural celebration. Recognizing the importance of holistic student development beyond academics, the festival was envisioned to empower young artists, revive traditional art forms, and promote contemporary creativity.

The festival is set to continue annually, evolving each year with different themes and expanded collaborations.

Under the visionary leadership of Hon’ble Chancellor Sri Koneru Satyanarayana [3]and the key guidance of Hon’ble Vice President Sri Koneru Laxman Havish[4], Kala Utsav stands as a testament to their commitment to nurturing young talent and fostering artistic excellence. Their support has been instrumental in creating this platform, empowering students to showcase their creativity, celebrate cultural heritage, and shape the artistic future of tomorrow.

Designed as an annual tradition, Kala Utsav will evolve each year with a unique theme, reflecting the ever-changing landscape of art, heritage, and modern creativity. The 2025 edition, themed “WHERE TRADITION MEETS CREATIVITY”, aims to bridge India’s rich cultural roots with contemporary artistic innovations.

Along with student competitions and performances, Kala Utsav will feature a diverse range of activities, including traditional music performances, celebrity appearances, DJ nights, and art exhibitions. The festival is not only an opportunity to showcase student talent but also to revive and celebrate India’s traditional art forms, while encouraging new forms of creativity in an inclusive, energetic environment.
