John Robert Smith, better known online as GDILIVES or JOHN ROBLOX[1], is an American gaming YouTuber and game delevoper. John is better known for playing games on Roblox and streaming Tower Defense X (TDX), a game that he made on Roblox with help from programmers such as Castlers[2] and Xonae. Right now, Tower Defense X is one of the biggest tower defense games on the platform, with over 3,000 active players daily, and 250M+ visits. While John is known for his Roblox content, he also plays a variety of different games such as Doom Eternal, Battlefield 4, and Command and Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars, though he rarely plays these games on his main channel; they're mostly shown on his commentary channel, GDI[3]. John has three separate YouTube channels, his main channel JOHN ROBLOX, his commentary channel GDI, and his secondary channel okaythisisepic[4]. On John's main channel, he primarily posts gaming content on TDX and Roblox Arsenal[5], however it now mostly consists of TDX. His secondary channel mostly consists of meme videos in which he takes footage from is main channel and makes memes out of it. As of November of 2021, John stated that he will not be posting on that channel anymore.[6] John's secondary channel is mostly, as he claims, "lower quality content" that he doesn't want to upload on his main channel. He uploads commentary and gaming footage and more so "mature content". His commentary on his videos often contain Battlefield 1, and more recently, Team Fortress 2 footage in the background.
