The fourth-generation iPhone SE (also known as the iPhone SE 4 or the iPhone SE 2025) is an upcoming smartphone designed and developed by Apple Inc. It is part of the 18th generation of the iPhone, alongside the iPhone 16 and 16 Plus and iPhone 16 Pro and 16 Pro Max models. Apple announced the third-generation iPhone SE in 2024 or 2025[timeframe?], as the successor to the third-generation iPhone SE of 2022. Pre-orders began on [when?], and the phone was released afterwards on [when?]. It was released with a starting price of US$[data missing], a $[by how much?] increase over its predecessor.[needs update]
The fourth-generation iPhone SE has the same dimensions and form factor as the third-generation iPhone SE. The iPhone SE has a similar design to the iPhone 8 and similar internal hardware components to the iPhone 16 series, including the A18 system-on-chip and 5G connectivity.[needs update]
The fourth-generation iPhone SE is the last iPhone to feature 4 GB of RAM, as well as 64 GB of internal storage, and as well as single lens rear camera.[needs update]
History
[edit]Rumors about a fourth-generation iPhone SE appeared since January 2022, two months before the release of the third-generation iPhone SE.[3]
Design
[edit]Display
[edit]The fourth-generation iPhone SE will have a 6.1" (15.5 cm) sized display similar to either the iPhone XR or the iPhone 14, with an all-screen design, which will become the first iPhone SE model without a home button. It also is the first iPhone SE to feature an OLED display.
