Geoffrey Elliott Loveday, the founder of Liverpool Hypnosis [1] and author of six acclaimed books on his own brand of hypnotherapy, the leading hypnotherapy clinic in the United Kingdom, is a full-time professional hypnotherapist and pure-hypnoanalyst who has been practicing hypnotherapy for almost 40 years. Starting at a young age, he learned the craft while training as an engineer, and in the past 20 years has opened up a completely new area of hypnotherapy known as Inherited Therapy, creating his own methods of hypnotherapy for patients known as The Loveday Method.
Biography
Early life and education
Geof was born to Jewish parents Frank Nathan Loveday and Anne Loveday (nee Berlin) on 23 January 1953 in Loveday Street Hospital [2] in Duddeston, Birmingham, whilst on a visit to family. A few days after being born, his parents returned to their native Liverpool, where he grew up in Upper Parliament Street and later in Park Drive in Childwall. Preceded by two older brothers, Bentley Orson Loveday and Morris Bradley Loveday, Geof spent his childhood being pranked on and almost sold by his older brothers, as well as a host of other small adventures.
He studied initially at the Old Hebrew School, and then moved on to the King David High School, in Childwall Rd, Wavertree, in Liverpool, where he graduated and moved into the world of work.
The first inclinations of Geof's future potential for Inherited Therapy issues came when he was very young, and suffered from night terrors about Nazi death camps, from the few stories his grandparents would tell of their escape from Nazi-held territory in Russia in the 1940s. Little did he know that his future career and destiny would be based on similar issues of inherited fears and issues in his future patients.
Early career and marriage
While he did learn hypnotism at an early age, starting at just 17 years old, Geof was primarily a welder, and was trained as an apprentice to his uncle, who was also a stage hypnotist.
He did a number of jobs for several years, from working for his uncle, his brother, Morris, and at Henderson’s as a buyer, to being a window and door salesman, a contract welder at Pilkington’s, and working for British Gas.
Geof met his wife, Jackie Fishel, at the SHE Club, at a Jewish party in 1970. They married on 26 June 1977, and had five children, Rudi, Shanna, Gema, Joshua, and Zak.
Trauma
In 1996, Jackie was diagnosed with cancer in a routine mammogram, and despite treatment and therapy, and a mastectomy to try and remove the cancer, passed away on 16 December 1999 after cancer had returned and spread throughout her body.
Later Career
Following the death of his wife and raising five kids as a single parent, Geof began his career in hypnotherapy, and eventually opened the renowned Liverpool Hypnosis clinic in 2008.
Over time, whilst doing other jobs, Geof had been doing hypnoanalysis, helping people get to the root of their problems. In the early years, around 2002, with a little help from his ever-loving children, he began working full time on the one thing he had always been passionate about; hypnotherapy.
Liverpool Hypnosis
In 2008, Geof opened up the Liverpool Hypnosis Practice clinic, located in Druid’s Park, Calder Stones, in Liverpool. In 2009, he began teaching people how to become a hypnotherapist, providing courses on hypnotherapy with the Successful Hypnotherapy Training Course [3]. SHTC teaches hypnosis, hypnotherapy and a remarkable new and effective form of therapy known as pure-hypnoanalysis, practiced only by members of the International Association of Pure Hypnoanalysts (IAPH).
To date, Geof regularly teaches classes and training courses on hypnotherapy, pure hypnoanalysis, and his own developed style of therapy, Inherited Therapy, using “The Loveday Method”.
Qualifications and Professional Courses
He obtained his Diploma in Hypnotherapy and Pure Hypnoanalysis on 1 August 2008, and is a member of the International Association of Pure Hypnoanalysts [4] since 2008.
In 2009, Geof became a Certified Hypnosis Instructor for the American International Association and graduated the American School of Hypnosis with a Diploma in Hypnotherapy. He also graduated the course on Forensic and Investigative Hypnosis with the IAPH on 7 November 2009.
On 19th March 2010, he was certified under the Emotion Code, and on 30 September 2011, he became a member of the International Association of Professional Conversational Hypnotists, obtaining certifications in Street Hypnosis and other forms of hypnotherapy.
Geof also trained at the Dave Elman Hypnosis Institute, learning the Clinical Practices under the Dave Elman techniques, including Gastric Band Hypnosis, where he graduated on 13 April 2012.
In April 2016, he obtained his diploma in Past Life Therapy from the Past Life Therapist Association (PLTA), which continued his study into past life regression and his studies and development of Inherited Therapy.
In 2017, he obtained his Certificate in Quantum Healing from the Dolores Cannon Quantum Healing Academy.
Ideas
The Loveday Method and Inherited Therapy
The Loveday Method and Inherited Therapy are trademarked versions of hypnotherapy developed by Geof himself, which can regress patients back beyond their own birth and into the lives of their ancestors, in order to heal their issues.
Inherited Therapy as a practice shows that many of the issues that people suffer from today can be grounded in the lives of their ancestors. Pain and trauma caused by an ancient ancestral injury or traumatic event that genetic memory has carried down to the present day can affect the descendants both physically and mentally. By regressing past the moment of birth and into that genetic memory, Inherited Therapy can allow the patient to confront the source of their issues and give it back to their ancestors, relieving them both from the pain or distress that has been plaguing them.
In his series of books, Geof explains how this can be achieved, and documents actual results that show this new form of regression therapy into ancestral memories can help relieve both physical and mental issues related to those past traumas. The Loveday Method is the form of hypnosis exercise that helps to take the patient from the present day back into the lives of their ancestors, with the hypnotherapist focusing the patient and guiding them on the journey through their ancestors’ lives.
Training Future Hypnoanalysts
As well as training people in the Successful Hypnotherapy Training Course, Geof also trains people in his own courses, Inherited Therapy and The Loveday Method, which go hand in hand and are applied together to make this form of regression therapy more effective than any other therapy offered today.
